It’s hard to focus when so many thoughts
Stories,
Worries,
– and anxiousness speeds right through my mind
Like butterflies in my stomach, pushing to escape the prison of self-doubt, my eyes blink erratically
Heart’s pulsing, about to explode into oblivion
Sweat drips into pure and utter terror
The lack of breathing becomes restless
All I wanted to do was finish this poem in peace
